Kay And Kay Catering concept is the inspiration of Omar Mckenzie. Omar is a native of Guyana and grew up in New York and New Jersey. Omar honed his cooking skills from the Art Institute Of New York also from his mom Joycelyn. By the age of 13 he was making roti, channa, baked chicken and lasagna in his mom catering business from out of house. His early high school years track and field was his life but he still loved home economics. Where he received cooking awards and track and field scholarship to Texas Southern University (TSU). This fascination with food coupled with Omar's incredible work ethic, enabled him to climb the ladder to become a Sous Chef at Merck World Headquarter HQ and The New York Giants Football 🏈team Sous Chef. Omar had always won rave reviews for his home cooked Caribbean cuisine. Omar only uses fresh, high quality vegetables, fruits, fish, poultry and meat.
